Georgia Font Family

Matthew Carter designed Georgia for better readability on screens. Unlike Times New Roman, which can feel overused, Georgia has a warmer, more inviting look. Inspired by Scotch Roman typefaces from the 1800s, it features a tall x-height and well-balanced numerals, keeping text clear at smaller sizes.

The italic version has a single-story “a” and “g,” adding an elegant touch. A carefully designed bold weight ensures strong contrast from the regular version, making text easy to scan. Released in 1996 and expanded in 1997 to support more languages, Georgia remains a top choice for digital content.

A big thanks to Matthew Carter for designing such an amazing font! You can download the Georgia Font for personal use only. However, if you’re planning to use it commercially, don’t forget to purchase a valid license from HERE.
