Montserrat comes from the old signs in Buenos Aires’ Montserrat neighborhood. Julieta Ulanovsky designed this typeface to save that unique lettering style. Over time, urban changes erased many of those original designs. Montserrat captures that lost beauty and brings it into modern use. It is free under the SIL Open Font License, making it available to everyone. The font has two sister styles. Alternates includes special letterforms, and Subrayada features built-in underlines.
